Speechless Saturday

It has been pretty quiet at my house today. The kids left yesterday to go visit their dad, who lives about 3+ hours away. It's the first time they have driven themselves over the mountain pass. To be honest, it was kind of strange watching them drive off, knowing they are taking a 'trip' on their own. Seems like only yesterday they were too young to even stay home by themselves.

In lieu of words, I thought I'd share some pictures from today. Besides, I just don't have a lot to say right at the moment. (I said, at the moment.)

Yard art...

Sleepy Boz...

Garden Bounty
Radishes, I think. I'm pretty sure.

My cabbage that took a beating by the hail...

Lettuce...

Baby spinach. Literally.

Veggies for my tortilla soup.

The finished product. (You can get the recipe at my other blog, Paprika is Good, But Not in Coffee)

Great pictures. I'll let you make me some soup when I come visit you. You know, after we go to the crack house taco stand...

HI BOZ!!

Love the pics, especially your itty bitty spinach. And your cabbage that went to hail. But really, the flowers are my fav. No really Boz is. Yeah. I want Boz.

It's just too dang hot here for soup, but whoa, that's a tasty number!

Prayers for safe kid travel!

Love the photos...and now I'm hungry and it's time for bed.
I set a world record today for most food consumed by someone under 5'2"!
I'll wait and check out the soup tomorrow. It will just start my tastebuds in again.
